Andrée-Lise Méthot
Ing. M. Sc. Founder and Senior partner
Andrée-Lise, founder of Cycle Capital Management, has more than fifteen years of experience in Company Financing, Financial Program Management and Engineering. She has generated a deal flow of quality investment opportunities, completed ten investments, ensured and developed an extensive network of international relationships for deal flow, due diligence, company building and growth, thus showing economic feasibility and potential growth of a private fund specialized in Cleantech and Sustainable Development. She has co-chaired the Task Force “Integration of Social Aspects into Life Cycle Assessment (LCA)” of the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP) and Society of Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry (SETAC) Life Cycle Initiative. Ms. Méthot is the President of Provisional Board of Directors of the Grappe des technologies propres du Québec. In addition, she was President of the Selection jury of the Grand Prix du génie-conseil québécois and a member of the jury of the Canadian Consulting Engineers Awards (ACEC). She was an active member of the Committee of External Verification Experts of Hydro Quebec.
Prior to founding Cycle Capital Management, Ms. Méthot set up and managed the first Quebec-based Capital Risk Management Fund specializing in the Cleantech sector.; the Fonds d’investissement en développement durable (FIDD) along with the first Quebec-based fund specializing in sustainable development, the “Fonds d’action québecois pour le développement durable (FAQDD)”, a fund of $45M. She also worked at Groupe Axor, CINBIOSE, and also at CSST.
Andree-Lise holds a Master’s degree in Science from the Université de Montréal and a Bachelor’s degree is in Geological Engineering from Université Laval. She has also studied Atmospheric Physics at the Université du Québec à Montréal.

Bernhardt Zeisig
Senior Partner
Bernie brings to Cycle Capital over eleven years of venture investing experience and 20 years of company building experience in both the US and Canada. He has participated in over thirty rounds of financing and has built a proven, trusted network for deal flow, deal management and realization. Zeisig began his career at eighteen, when he built his first successful company. He later became an active angel investor, built a trans-Atlantic joint venture and worked as a Management Consultant helping one of his client’s ramp sales to over $60 million US. He has lived and worked in Canada, Germany, Austria, France, Scotland and most recently in the US.
Zeisig moved to Boston, MA, in 1998 to join VIMAC Ventures as an Associate. In six years he rose from Principal to Partner to Senior Partner, largely due to his investment record and efforts in developing the firm’s Canadian franchise. By 2001, the firm was the most active and respected US-based venture investor in Canada. Zeisig is a frequent speaker on cross-border investment issues and has often advised on policy matters. Bernie holds BAs in Economics from both Carleton University, Canada and Université de Chambery, France, and an MSc in Entrepreneurial Studies from Stirling University, Stirling Scotland.

Alain-Olivier Desbois
Partner
Alain-Olivier brings to Cycle Capital Management over eleven years of experience in portfolio management and private equity investing. Since 2005, Alain-Olivier has completed several investments, helped structure numerous rounds of financing and has contributed significantly to sourcing new deals, analyzing investment opportunities, conducting due diligences and supporting the business development of portfolio companies. Cycle Capital Management also benefits from his fund management expertise helping build the organization, its investment strategy and ensure that the operating methodology are in line with North America’s best practices.
Prior to joining Cycle Capital Management, Alain-Olivier worked as an Investment Director, Fund of Funds, for La Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec, managing a cleantech and IT fund portfolio with total commitments worth $250 million. He has developed an extensive network of relationships in the cleantech sector and acquired an in-depth knowledge of this particular sector, the firms and major initiatives in the field. He began his career in alternative investments as an analyst for Northern Trust Global Advisors, the hedge fund investment division within the Northern Trust Investment Corporation.
Alain-Olivier graduated from Université de Sherbrooke with a Bachelor of Business Administration. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).

Dr. Richard Bruno
Venture Partner
As CEO of Beyond If Corporation of Chicago, Dr. Bruno provides Management Consulting, Technology, product and business due diligence, board administration and interim management services to several dozen Fortune 1000 international companies and international public sector organizations. Along with his responsibilities at Beyond if, Dr. Bruno is the Chairperson of Anges Québec, a member of the National Research Council (IRAP) advisory board, a member of the Hexagram advisory board and a board member of the Foundation of the Mayor of Montreal.
From 2004 to 2006, Dr. Bruno was the Director of McGill University’s Office of Technology Transfer where he managed McGill’s Industry Funded Research Programs, technology transfer and commercialization activities. As CTO or CEO with Philips-Sony, OptImage, PRISM Interactive, GCA, GCT, Alliance Interactive, Digital Frontiers, Beyond If Corporation and BI Informatics, Dr. Bruno has developed and launched several dozen mass-market products that have been used by millions of consumers worldwide each generating revenues in excess of a billion dollars annually. Dr. Bruno is a serial entrepreneur who built and sold six multimillion-dollar high-tech companies in the US and Japan.
Dr. Bruno obtained his Ph.D. in Solid State Physics from McMaster University in 1971, an honors B.Sc. degree in Physics from McGill University in 1967, and an executive M.B.A. from Michigan University Ann Arbor in 1988. He has published several technical books and over a hundred and fifty publications and industry reports.

Jean Lamarre
Venture Advisor
Mr. Lamarre is a Senior Consultant with more than thirty years of experience in international business development, finance and corporate strategy. Presently he is President of Lamarre Consultants and, as such, acts as a Strategic Consultant and organizes financing for companies operating in multiple fields of technology.
Mr. Lamarra also serves on the Board of Directors of several public companies such as Pebercan (TSX), Medical Intelligence Technologies Inc. (TSX Venture), Télé-Québec and private companies. From 1993 to 1995, he was International and Special Projects Vice-President for the Canam Manac Group. Between 1977 and 1992, he worked for companies within the Lavalin and SNC-Lavalin Group where he held various management positions at local and international levels, as well as acting as Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
He holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the Hautes-Études commerciales (HEC) School in Montréal.
Geza Tatrallyay
Strategic advisor
Geza Tatrallyay has substantial experience in clean energy finance and carbon dioxide reduction projects which he brings to the Fund. He will also support the Fund Manager in opening up new markets in international markets, particularly in Central and Eastern Europe and Latin America.
Mr. Tatrallyay has been a founding investor in a number of clean energy / carbon finance ventures, including Vertis Environmental Finance Ltd, the leading advisory and brokerage firm in the carbon trading and renewables sectors in Central and Eastern Europe,. Greensource GmbH, an Austrian company, a successful project development / financial advisory firm focusing on renewable energy projects throughout Europe and elsewhere, and EcoEnerGen GmbH, an Austrian firm with expertise particularly in energy efficiency and clean fuels based transportation.
Mr. Tatrallyay is on the Investment Committee of the Mezzinine Funds managed by Syntaxis Capital, a fund management company focusing on Central and Eastern Europe. He was previously a partner at MAVA Capital, a US$ 110 million private equity group based in Hungary. Prior to that, he served as a Senior Executive of the Royal Bank of Canada in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and Germany for close to twenty years. He has held seats on numerous boards in Hungary, Canada, Austria, and Germany.
Mr. Tatrallyay holds a Master’s degree in Economics from the London School of Economics, a Master’s degree in Human Sciences from Oxford University where he was a Rhodes Scholar, and a Bachelor’s degree in Human Ecology from Harvard University.
