Alain Lemaire
President and Chief Executive Officer, Cascades inc.

Alain Lemaire is a member of the Cercle des présidents du Québec. He is known for his dedication and hard work. His qualities as a man of action have earned him numerous distinctions, not only in the regional and national business community, but also in the environmental and social sectors. One of his most recent awards in 2004 was that of “Grand performant” which he received at the annual gala of Les nouveaux performants. Commerce magazine named him “personality of the month” in January 2004 and also named him “most daring of the month” in October 2006. Alain Lemaire and his brothers were awarded the distinction of Entrepreneurs à l'honneur 2007 from the Fondation de l'entrepreneurship. The daily newspaper La Presse also named him “personality of the week” to underline his dedication to environmental concerns at Earth Day 2007. In 2008, the University of Sherbrooke saluted his copybook career by granting him an honorary doctorate. Amongst his accomplishments, Mr. Lemaire is particularly proud of the fact that Cascades is often referred to as a good corporate citizen because of its leading-edge management practices with regards to sustainable development and the ecologicial virtues of the products it brings to market.

Michel Ringuet M.B.A.
Chief executive officer, Master Group

Mr, Ringuet is Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Master Group, a market leader in the fields of refrigeration, air-conditioning and heating with over $200M in annual sales, a history of over fifty-five years and 375 employees. Mr. Ringuet has over twenty years of business strategy, venture finance, mergers and acquisitions experience.

Prior to joining Masters Group, Mr. Ringuet held numerous senior positions at the National Bank in Montreal including Senior Director Merchant Banking Services and Director of Major Accounts Services.

Michel Ringuet, has a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration of Laval University and an MBA from McGill University.

Michel Beaudin
Vice President, Mergers & Acquisitions,
Brookfield Renewable Power Inc.

Michel Beaudin has more than 25 years of business and financial experience in the private sector, primarily with Brookfield Renewable Power and its affiliates. As Vice President, Mergers and Acquisitions, Mr. Beaudin is responsible for due diligence, negotiating purchasing and sales agreements, and has managed the successful closing of numerous transactions contributing to Brookfield’s growth. Mr. Beaudin has 10 years of experience in Mergers & Acquisitions and an additional 15 years of experience in financial control functions within the pulp and paper industry. He received his Bachelor of Accounting from Université du Québec en Outaouais and is a Chartered Accountant.
