Our strategy

With a focus on North Eastern North America and an opportunistic approach across Canada, Cycle Capital’s investment strategy is to achieve superior returns by investing in attractively priced projects & businesses that contribute significantly to the reduction of GHGs and promote sustainable development. Cycle intends to capitalize on the emergence of the low carbon economy and new cap and trade regulations forcing an accelerated adoption of new technologies by the market and large industrial buyers.

Cycle Capital intends to take advantage of the potential growth of the renewable energies and the clean technologies by focusing on the following segments:

Energy (generation, efficiency, storage)
Air Quality and Emissions Control
Manufacturing and Industrial Technologies
Materials & Nanotechnologies
Enabling Technologies
Transportation
Recycling & Residual Waste Treatment
Environmental IT

A key tenant of Cycle Capital’s strategy is adding tangible, executable value at all stages of an investment. Over and above the sector focus, the managers concentrate their attention on companies with exceptional teams that can leverage the fund’s own network of strategic industrial partners.

Working closely with co-investors, the fund will invest $1.5 - $3M in multiple rounds with a goal to deploy $4 - $7M per company.
